My son is 7 months old and 17lbs. Should I get the small or the large? I’d like for him to have room to grow, but don’t want to compromise his safety?

I would say get Large. My son is 19 pounds 9 months & he fits perfect in it with some room for him to grow. It helps that it has straps which you can loosen up or tighten up to make it smaller or bigger
My daughter is 8 months and 15.5lbs. I would like for her to grow into this to use next year. Would a large be too big?
I would not purchase this. Used once and felt it was not safe. It’s inflatable and not very stable. I purchased a Mambobaby float which is air free Has a foam liner. Hop this helps!
